Poca came into L.E.AN. in early April 2012 with a gaping, infected wound on her withers and other injuries. She had been found wandering loose.
She was foster by two special ladies who tended her wound twice daily and gave her months of loving care.
It was discovered that Poca had a special love for children, and she spent the summer at a local riding therapy center.
In October 2012, Poca was formally adopted to continue has a therapy horse at Paradise Ranch for people and children with autism.
Poca before and after her wounds recovered completely.
