Lucky was found wandering loose and starving, picked up by Animal Control the same year L.E.A.N was formed.  He was already in his early 20’s, and so crippled by arthritis that he couldn’t be ridden, and was never adopted.  He spent the longest tenure of any horse with L.E.A.N., exactly 13 years, with two loving foster homes and a pasture paradise to enjoy.  We appreciate everyone who helped care for this old gentleman for all his long years.
