Waylay
Their Story

Meet Waylay

Waylay was brought to the clinic for euthanasia on 7-31-12, suffering neglect and an untreated tumor.

After medical consultation, L.E.A.N. opted to go forward with surgery and the owner surrendered him to our care.

Waylay spent 9 months in several foster homes as we fought the cancer through multiple surgeries and treatments

In April 2013 the rescue could no longer afford Waylay’s expensive treatments, and he was adopted by two Board members to continue his care privately. He was turned out on pasture to live his remaining days with a buddy.

Miraculously, with just minimal treatments, love and companionship….the cancer regressed over the summer and Fall, and as of Dec 2013 has visually disappeared.

We are grateful for Waylay’s recovery, however long it may be, and look forward to sharing many happy years with him. In 2014, he started retraining under saddle.

Congratulations

Waylay
